Job role:

Content Editor, B2B Media & Events company, Remote working & some global travel, £30-35K

This established, award winning B2B digital media and events company in the global travel retail arena is currently in its next phase of growth and is seeking a truly dynamic Content Editor looking to make their mark in this fast paced industry.

 

Job responsibilities

Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Content Editor will be expected to juggle a number of wide-ranging responsibilities, from seeking out and populating the company website with daily retail and product news, interviewing key industry stakeholders and submitting features to sending breaking news alerts, managing regular email newsletters and social media content activity.

You will possess a keen eye for detail and a natural flair for producing succinct and compelling copy that appeals to all stakeholders in the exciting and energetic $90 billion-plus global duty free and travel retail industry – from global luxury brands and suppliers, to travel retailers, airport operators, airlines, border shops, trade associations and industry lobbyists.

Additionally, you will act as an ambassador for the company at press and trade events, most of which take place abroad and require the ability to travel internationally, often at relatively short notice.

Requirements

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B journalism (ideally in aviation, retail or related industries)

·       Excellent writing, editing and verbal communications skills

·       Ability to produce well-sourced, accurate copy to deadline

·       Comfortable using Microsoft 365 platforms

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

·       Support the Managing Editor and Editorial Director in subbing, proofing and fact-checking tasks across all editorial products.

·       Working knowledge of SEO best practices and CMS platforms (ideally Wordpress), plus Photoshop to independently upload photos to web stories and newsletters

·       A bachelor’s degree or post-graduate qualification in journalism

The PR & communications executive will make up a key part of the agencies client-facing team and has a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of the company.
