The Role of Business Development Manager

  • To generate sponsorship/partnership revenues from key clients

  • Work closely with the research and marketing teams to understand the target audience/sponsor prospects

  • To secure new business and develop these accounts

  • To sell sponsorship opportunities via telephone, online meerings and face to face meetings

  • Attend company and competotor events - international travel

  • Close sales, hit targets and lead from the front

  • Help develop new events and sponsor opportunities

  • Report key performance figures

  • Manage sponsorship deliverables ensuring that clients are happy

The Ideal Candidate for the Business Development Manager Role

  • Proven consultative sales skills and excellent sales figures

  • Ambitious and target/financially driven

  • Hard working and used to working in a fast-paced environment

  • Articulate, intelligent and well-presented

  • Able to build a sales pipeline

  • CRM experience

  • Experience of international sales

  • Self starter/self reliant

  • Good sense of humour!

  • Additional languages useful - Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic
