E-commerce Manager, Crowborough, excellent salary dependent of level of experience

Our client is an established and unique ecommerce business based in Crowborough and they are now seeking an E-commerce Manager to oversee the online sales and operations of their multiple websites combined with a cross channel marketing strategy on the Amazon and eBay marketplaces.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the online presence as part of their e-commerce sales team, driving sales, and enhancing the customer shopping experience. This role represents an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable experience on some leading e-commerce retail platforms, including Magento 2 (Adobe), Brightpearl (Sage) and M2E Pro.

As well as providing the opportunity to learn and provide technical support to various departments, the role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their own innovative ecommerce marketing campaigns to enhance the company’s existing marketing strategy.

 

Whatever your level of ecommerce experience, our client is interested in hearing from those who are looking to further extend their existing skills and develop new ones in a modern, technology aware environment.

 

You will need to be a driven, technically aware self-starter who is comfortable with learning new systems. Learning will be achieved through interacting with the existing team of experienced staff, the third party web developer, server engineers and software customer support. In addition, they will provide opportunities to attend online training plus professional training courses to help further develop your knowledge. There will also be the opportunity to attend ecommerce trade shows and exhibitions both in the UK and overseas.

 

The role cover three main areas:

 

·       Ecommerce Systems Technical Support

·       Ecommerce Marketing

·       Website Content Management and Administration

 

 

Duties:

·       Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to drive online sales growth

·       Manage and update the company website, ensuring a seamless customer experience

·       Utilise SEO techniques to improve website visibility and drive traffic

·       Oversee social media platforms to enhance brand awareness and engagement

·       Create and execute email marketing campaigns to promote products and increase customer retention

·       Conduct copywriting for product descriptions, promotional materials, and blog posts

·       Monitor and analyse website analytics using Google Analytics to track performance

·       Manage online advertising campaigns to increase conversions

·       Collaborate with the marketing team to align online activities with overall brand strategy

You may have some or all of the following skills and experience:

·       A willingness to learn about all aspects of selling online - including some of the latest software systems

·       Experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a retail environment, even if you just sell privately online

·       Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·       Some understanding of SEO basics, SEO strategies and implementation

·       Familiarity with a commonly used website backend e.g. eBay, Amazon, Shopify or Magento

·       Some knowledge of email marketing best practices

·       Good copywriting/social media content skills for creating compelling content

·       Some understanding of Google Analytics for tracking website performance

·       Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage priorities
