Senior Account Director/Group Account Director, Direct Marketing Agency, Brighton

Leading Integrated agency in central Brighton is looking for a SAD/GAD to head up and nuture half of the account handlers (currently a team of six) and clients within the portfolio. Specialising in the Direct Marketing sector this person will also have a good understanding and experience of clients in the fund-raising/charity sectors. Reporting into the Executive Creative Director you will deliver the highest level of client service to the agencies partners. Although this role is currently a 10-12 month maternity cover contract commencing February 2015 there is potential for a permanent opportunity dependent on agency growth and new business wins.


Key Responsibilities:


Ultimate responsibility for half the client portfolio. Develop appropriate and effective strategic fundraising and tactical implementation plans and to ensure campaigns are completed accurately, on time and on budget.


Maintain regular contact with clients and proactively offer advice and support, share learnings, results and test to develop existing business


Manage the production Manager ensuring cost efficiencies for clients and better margins for the agency on production work


Lead the organic growth and evaluate and advise on business planning and the introduction of new programmes/strategies across half the client portfolio


Develop the company’s services in line with the Boards strategic direction, business plan objectives, performance targets and budgets


To develop and implement procedures across the agency to ensure optimum business performance


To lead nurture and motivate the Account team to always provide the very highest levels of client servicing


To assimilate monthly management reports and forecasting from the client services team.
