Our publishing client, is looking for an experienced marketing professional to join their tax publishing division based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

Our client publishes high quality books and digital products for lawyers, tax practitioners, accountants and business professionals using of prestigious authors, editors and contributors for their titles – giving them a well respected advantage in their marketplace.

The role
•    Support the marketing and sales operation in achieving commercial targets
•    Increase traffic to and direct sales revenues from the Bloomsbury Professional websites
•    Increase brand awareness
•    Compile and co-ordinate regular digital marketing activity
•    Collate and despatch regular e-mail and direct mail campaigns to generate book sales revenue – both new business and renewal
•    Generate targeted leads for online sales resource – both new business and renewal
•    Plan, execute and monitor renewal campaigns for new editions – including mail, telesales and email waves
•    Coordinate telesales campaigns and brief telesales teams – online and hard copy
•    Regularly update content for the blog – add new titles, articles, banner ads, special offers in line with activity in the wider marketing department
•    Update and ensure accuracy of content on the various online platforms
•    Work with authors to ensure accurate promotion and best response rates to marketing activity
•    Monitor, record and report results and ROI (Return on Investment) of each campaign element
•    Manage social media content and effectiveness across Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
•    Promote attendance and produce marketing promotional material for events such as exhibitions and conferences
•    Produce and circulate regular sales and online traffic reports

The candidate:

•    Excellent copy writing and proof-reading skills
•    Good Excel skills
•      Experience of working to tight deliverable deadlines
•    Good inter-personal and communication skills
•    Good at multi-tasking and prioritising
•    Good understanding of general internet, technical and web structures
•    Design skills an advantage
•    Experience of working within marketing
•    Familiarity with the publishing industry an advantage
•    At least one year’s experience in a full time marketing position
•    Ideally educated to degree level
•    Post-graduate marketing qualifications desirable (CIM, IDM)
