NOW FILLED – Content Development Manager, Brighton, circa £50K

Our client is a publisher in the social care and helath sector and they are seeking a full-time Content Development Manager to oversee the delivery of digital content, working with multifunctional teams. Talking the lead in the content needed for products within the care sector, work with other senior  managers to review the content needed for their digital products.

Tasks
1. Audience:
Define audience profile & segmentation with the market manager and     product owners
Actively engage with the audience to understand their requirements and their drivers – face to face meetings, calls, questionnaires.
Develop, implement and maintain a content strategy that delivers to target audience
Deliver compelling content that is attractive to the audiences
Measure & Monitor user behavior to drive future activity of web content
Develop a deep understanding of the target audience to identify what they want online
Establish high standards of quality and accuracy in content and presentation
2. Strategy:
Sets and manages brand perceptions by target audience
Develops strategic plans to build audience loyalty and community engagement
Establish and maintain budgets to support content strategy, content commissioning, funding resources and development plans, monitoring and controlling costs as necessary
Owns the content delivery development priorities and road map
Works with others (sales, marketing and IS) to identify commercial opportunities and deliver on commercial goals
Develops and maintains Strategic Partnerships to support content collaboration, brand
development and commercial goals
Allocates resources to team in a way that achieves objectives and supports priorities
3. People
Communicates to staff clear messages about the future direction of the business/market and impact on their roles
Is proactive in recognising future trends on the web, ensuring team is trained/developed to appropriate technical capability
Responsibilities
• Take responsibility for delivery of all aspects of content across Pavilion’s care sector online products and work with other senior managers to develop plans for growing online audiences across all print products to take advantage of digital revenue opportunities
• Work closely with online digital manager to ensure that the web platform develops its UI and functionality to give customers excellent experiences of consuming Pavilion content online
• Prioritise workloads across content delivery teams to ensure that there is effective collaboration and efficiency in the way they work
• Ensure all content published online across Pavilion meets the defined quality standards required for overall commercial and brand objectives.
• Take the lead in establishing and managing robust mechanisms for the ongoing updating of content

Required Skills

• Experience of implementing content
• Exposure to print and digital publishing
• Skills across infographics, imagery, videos, blogs, editorial
• Understanding of the social care / health markets
• Collaborative communication skills
• Good understanding of SEO, content management and web based marketing
• Copywriting experience
Desirable Skills Qualifications
• Background in journalism or marketing or proven content management skills.
