Account Manager, Marketing Agency, 9-12 month contract, Shoreham, £25-35K DOE

This unique and specialist marketing agency works within the fundraising sector and is looking for an Account Manager to come on board for an initial 9-12 month contract at the beginning of February 2019. This will be for a maternity cover, however the business is steadily growing so there may well be a chance that the role could be offered at some stage as a permanent postion.

The agency has a solid base of clients, they are winning awards and growing the business in a structured way. The  core staff are dedicated, determined, passionate about making the world a better place, and good fun to work with.

You will be an exceptional Account Manager to help drive the business further and to make sure that the account management continues to be the best in the sector. You’ll work on a range of key accounts, have autonomy on the projects that you are working on full support and development from the directors.

You will be a confident self-starter, who is entrepreneurial in their approach and keen to grow and develop within an extremely ambitious agency.

Key Competencies


Ability to act as an authoritative and credible ambassador for the agency

Ability to balance both the needs of the charity partners as well as the business

Extensive knowledge of direct marketing principles, as applied to charity fundraising

An understanding of digital and social marketing, and how this is applied to charity fundraising and communications

Project Management skills and experience – including Print buying, List buying, briefing digital products and fulfilment

A high level of commitment and self-motivation

Attention to detail

Analytical skills – interpretation and reporting of results

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

Well organised – ability to manage a large workload

Experience of using design packages and associated software

Hands on experience of writing copy, specifically for charity appeals and communications

Hands on experience of setting up and running digital and social campaigns

An IDM or similar relevant qualification in direct and digital marketing

Experience of working charity side within an Individual Giving role


Account handling duties will range from operational work (including print and production) through to strategic development of large accounts.  The post holder will idedally need good fundraising and Direct Marketing experience, with the potential to work at a senior level.  A key focus of this role is to be both strategic and hands on.
